Example Information:

A ticket stub bearing early signatures of all four members of The Beatles, dated to 1963, 11.5 x 7.5 cm. The autographs, from top to bottom of George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, were obtained by the original recipient as she attended a dance at the Whitchurch Civic Hall, which The Beatles were headlining. As she arrived early to the hall, Paul McCartney, first of the band to arrive, asked her and company if they would like to meet the others, which they did back stage. The vendor was handed an old ticket stub (Chris Barber) by her friend which the band then signed in front of the recipient and original vendor, who recalls the band had just released their first single at the time, and were still carrying their equipment to and from their van. This piece was consigned to sale by the original recipient and vendor and sold by Halls in a toys and collectables sale, dated 17.10.2008. The current vendor is the wife of the then purchaser. This piece therefore has a direct provenance from signature to sale and is sold alongside the original Halls sales invoice, the piece costing the original purchaser £2,772.94 in 2008.
